AI, and where it stops

This page says plainly where machines are used and where they are not. It is short on purpose.

The short version

The brush and the carving knife are human. Artificial intelligence helps with layout drafts and ambient sound beds; it does not write the calligraphy, does not carve the seals, and does not stand in for a person’s hand.

What AI does here

  • Layout drafts and typeset previews: before a piece is written, we may use layout tools to show how characters will sit on the paper. Those pictures are labelled “排版示意 / layout preview”.
  • Ambient sound beds: the NFC companion card can hold a short sound layer under your own recording. Where a sound bed is machine-made, it is mixed under your voice and disclosed here.
  • Internal drafting: outlines, checklists and translations may start as machine drafts and are edited by a person before they reach you.

What AI never does

  • It does not produce the calligraphy, the carving or the physical piece you receive.
  • It does not imitate a named living artist, a third-party artwork or a trademark.
  • It does not receive your name, address, private text or voice recording. Customer text is handled by people, on our own systems.
  • It does not generate a customer’s voice or a family recording. Those come from you.

How previews are labelled

Every product image that is a typeset preview carries a visible “排版示意 / layout preview” band. Where a marketing image is generated or materially assisted by AI, it carries an “AI-generated” label. Photographs of finished work are real pieces.

If something looks wrong

If you believe a piece or an image on this site copies your work, write to service@mzen.ink with the details. We will look, and if the concern is well founded we will stop using it and make it right.

Why this page exists

Platforms and regulators increasingly require AI use to be disclosed rather than hidden — including China’s labelling rules for generated content and the disclosure expectations of the marketplaces we sell through. This page is our standing disclosure; the dated policy pages next to it carry the contract terms.
